Food Assistance:
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - SNAP is a federal nutrition program. The intent of the Program is to help improve the health and well being of low-income households and individuals by providing them a means to meet their nutritional needs.

If your spouse who is a student does work-study, you most likely will both qualify for benefits. If not, you may still qualify to receive benefits for yourself and/or your children. Try the SNAP benefit estimator, but really, you won't know unless you make an appointment.

Health Care Assistance
The Oregon Health Plan (OHP) - provides health care coverage to low-income Oregonians.

Children of no-income or low-income student families are usually admitted to OHP's Healthy Kids Program. Adult family members are often admitted via the lottery system. Pregnant low-income women are also usually given the OHP Plus program.

Also, if you are on EBT, when you do your re-evaluation which happens twice a year, note that you would like to add health care benefits for any family members not currently on OHP, and they will let you know if they qualify.
